Fashion “prejudice” has returned in other areas as well extending from from the runway to the retail outlets. TV did a spot 6/18 about the struggle of black models. If you thought that struggle was finished, think gain. Famous black models discussed the current situation and outlined the special program, The Color of Beauty.
‘The Color of Beauty’ is a documentary that looks at what many consider institutionalized racism in the fashion industry. Black models struggle to find work. The first African-American to grace the cover of Vogue magazine supermodel Beverly Johnson and model/actor Renauld White join Tony Harris to discuss the documentary.
