Finally, Behold a Truly Classic Louis Vuitton Bag
There has been such a flurry of activity at Louis Vuitton lately - all that new bag releases. Of course, the monogram lover in me is thoroughly excited, but had a pretty blah experience at the Louis Vuitton on Champs-Élysées earlier this year.
I'm sure the store is filled with tourists at any time of the year, and the day I went in to buy a Damier wallet and a Monogrammed Speedy 25 for one of The Girls, it was busy with customers. Of course, I cannot complain about service - the sales personnel were all professional and once a request was voiced it was definitely met. I did wish that there was more emphasis on paying close attention to each customer in the store.
However, I did somehow wish that my experience at Louis Vuitton could be on par with . That said, my love for the classic brand shall not diminish just because of one average experience, so let's look at the recent bags which caught my eye:

I have to say, this was recommended to me by the strangest of strange people - a close friend who is totally not interested in bags or anything remotely monogrammed. In the email, she said that there was a bag that she could not get her eyes off, and was thoroughly luxurious and pretty. I was so curious I took a look, and was sold immediately!
Behold the Louis Vuitton Damier Trevi, named after the Trevi Fountain in Rome. Like the Trevi, it is stunning at first sight!
I cannot resist frame bags, and this is yet another of those "wow" frame bags. A good bag should never show how full or empty it is by losing its structure, and a look at this baby I know it will never, never fail me.
I've always sang praises about the Damier line because I am certain it will never age. The handles will not show that slightly dirty look a Speedy can get with a few years of wear, with that rich brown shade the handles come in.
I imagine this bag to last me from long flights, to crazy business meetings, to being a nappy bag, and even containing my Chanel jacket! What luck that I have not acquired a bag in the damier line!

The next bag which is everywhere these days is the Neverfull. I really cannot say that I like this bag - the straps on the left and right dangling out of the bag is distracting and frankly quite distasteful for me.
However, when you see close three bags appearing in your office in less than two months after bonus time, you know it is going to be massive on the streets. I know it is a great bargain - SGD1,000 for a bag - and you can just dump anything in it. It is so huge! Great for the tertiary student who wants to get her first monogrammed bag because it can contain the A4 files for school purposes. Of course, if you are really a bag hag, the Goyard St. Louis should be the one you ought to be gunning for (pictured below).
